Who built this
The checker is a free tool provided for a sole trader in Sydney, NSW. It was built with AI: the code and the dataset were produced by Mint, an AI agent (Anthropic's Claude), and checked by automated tests against Safe Work Australia's official PDFs. No occupational hygienist has reviewed the results.
Your information
- Your register is read and checked in your browser. It is never uploaded to us or anyone else.
- The site sets no cookies, has no sign-up and doesn't ask for your name or email.
- We count visits and checks with GoatCounter, which sets no cookies and doesn't track you across sites. For each page view it receives the page address, the referring site, your browser type and screen size; GoatCounter uses your IP address in memory to tell repeat visits apart and to show an approximate location (country or region), and never writes it to disk. Each register check sends one event named "register-check", with no register contents.
- The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which, like any web host, processes your IP address to deliver the page.
What the checker is not
The checker compares names and CAS numbers with a dataset of exposure standard and exposure limit values. It is not a WHS risk assessment, exposure monitoring, occupational hygiene advice or legal advice, and a match doesn't tell you whether anyone is over or under a limit. It is provided free and as is. Always verify results against the official Safe Work Australia WEL list and WES list before you rely on them. These terms are governed by the law of New South Wales.
